These terms apply to this website and to the Plumstead Market Space iPhone app. By creating an account you agree to them. You must be 18 or over to have an account.
What Plumstead Market Space is
A board where neighbours list items for sale and make offers on them, and a board of classified ads. We are not a party to any sale. Buyers and sellers arrange payment and collection between themselves, and we do not handle the money, check the items or guarantee either side. Take the usual care: meet somewhere safe, look at the item before you pay, and do not send money to someone you have not met.
What you may not post
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not post, in an item, an ad, a photo, an offer or a user name:
- anything illegal to sell or advertise, or stolen or counterfeit goods;
- weapons, drugs, tobacco, vapes, alcohol, medicines, or live animals;
- sexual or pornographic material, or adult services;
- anything hateful, threatening, harassing or abusive towards any person or group;
- anything misleading, a scam, or someone else's personal details without their consent;
- anything that infringes someone else's copyright or trade mark.
How the board is kept clean
- Every photo is checked automatically before it can be used.
- Every classified ad is read by an administrator before it appears.
- In the app you can report any item or ad, and block the person who posted it so that nothing of theirs is shown to you again. On the website, email us at the address on the Support page.
- We look at every report within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed, and the account that posted it may be closed without notice.
Listings written with AI
The title, description, category and price of an item are drafted for you from its photo, and a seller can ask for a recommendation between offers. These are suggestions and can be wrong. You check and edit a listing before it is posted, and you are responsible for what you post and for which offer you accept.
Paying
Looking at the boards, listing items within the free allowance and making offers are free. A classified ad and the Unlimited listings subscription are bought in the iPhone app as Apple in-app purchases, at the price shown there before you buy. The subscription renews each month until you cancel it in your Apple account settings. A paid ad that we do not approve can be corrected and sent again without paying again. Refunds for in-app purchases are given by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your content
What you post stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it on the website and in the app for as long as it is listed. You can remove an item or delete your account at any time.
Our responsibility
The service is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it running and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available, and we are not responsible for the items sold, the services advertised, or what other users do. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law.
Changes and law
If we change these terms we will change the date at the top. The law of England and Wales applies.
